Sandra Thornhill is a St.Louis native and Kansas City transplant in search of identity as a young Black Woman in America.In this journey she graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City with a BA in Sociology and Masters in Public Administration. As a college recruiter, identity and purpose ignited Sandra’s desire to support youth in their career exploration. Now, as the Administrative Assistant to the office of the Mayor, she continues her work by organizing a platform for youth to engage with city officials through City Hall visits and Mayoral school visits, advocates for constituents through management of the constituent service activities, and pursues equity initiatives through role on the Mayor's policy team. She believes that knowledge is the catalyst that accelerates social change and converts individuals into their empowered selves. She seeks opportunities to facilitate the transfer of knowledge to youth and marginalized groups.
